Sometimes, even TOOLS need a little customizing to make them more efficient!
If you are using the Harley brand oil filter removal tool, part number 94686-00, then you already know that it is tricky getting it around the crank position sensor on the front of the engine. Its even trickier getting it OFF after the filter is loosened a turn or two!
An easy trick is to grind a small section of the band down to allow the band to slide on and off the filter without interference from the sensor. Just grind right above the word "only" and your oil changes will be much easier in the future! :-)
